Utilising the Solar Edge design software, the premises was accurately mapped out, the proposed solar installation added, enabling the string calculations, inverter and optimiser requirements confirmed.

Mounting system Design

Van Der Valk’s design software factors in potential wind and snow loads for the exact location, offering the system owner peace of mind that the system is secure.

With assistance from JP Structural, a structural survey was carried out to ascertain the structural integrity of the premises and to ensure the structure can safely support the additional loading of the solar system and associated mounting and ballast.

Following the structural survey giving the green light to safely proceed, we liaised with the roof covering manufacturer to understand their requirements so as to ensure the roof warranty is not compromised.

Now with the structural survey and roofing assessment complete, the G99 application was submitted to SP Energy Networks.

Installation could now commence with the Van Der Valk, ValkPro+ mounting system being laid out in position.

Bauder sacrificial layers placed under all the feet prior to the ballast being added in line with the ballast calculations.

Individual panel Optimisers, DC cabling & panels fitted.

The Inverter, generation meter, power meter c/w Current transformers and associated isolators all fitted.

System testing, commissioning and importing onto the monitoring portal, enabling the client to receive live performance data, historic performance data as well as viewing individual panel monitoring and receiving alerts of any potential faults.

Handover package issued including all relevant test & commission documents, product data sheets, user manuals, as installed drawings.
