The iconic landmark viaduct at Barmouth has undergone the most comprehensive refurbishment in its 154 year history.
Working with the main contractor, Alun Griffiths, System Electrical Group carried out a complete replacement of the navigation lighting and associated back up and control system.

- Initial visit to isolate, disconnect and remove the existing system to enable the bridge replacement.
- Procurement of materials including a purpose built cubicle to house the control system and navigation lights build to order in Australia.
- Design development and fabrication of bespoke navigation light housings.
- Installation of stainless steel containment system.
- Fixing and connection of the control kiosk.
- Securing the housings to the bridge and fitting the navigation lights.
- Fit out of the kiosk with lighting controls and battery charger/back up/change over system.
- Testing & commissioning.
